The M/S "Storholmen"
maintains traffic
service on the Dalslands Canal since 1938.
The ship is modernized and tailormade for
the Canal and it's tight locks.
However, the charming atmosphere of the
is preserved. It's capacity is 100 passangers.
We serve exellent home made food on board. Fully licensed.
The
scenery
of
course, changes during the voyage - untouched nature, modern towns,
old mills and country estates in beautiful settings, bustling life and
picturesqu spots.
The highlight of the trip is Håverudwith it's great aqueduct, an iron channel put together with 33.000 rivets. A railroad bridge and a highway bridge have been built across the swirling depths.
